This limited edition screenprint Mao II.98 by Andy Warhol, created in 1972, is an iconic piece from Warhol's celebrated Mao series.

Printed on Beckett High White paper, the artwork measures 91.4 x 91.4 cm (36 x 36 inches) and is a rare artist proof, with only 50 copies in existence. It features bold, striking colors, with Mao Zedong's portrait depicted in bright orange against a vibrant blue background.

Warhol's Mao series is a critical exploration of political imagery through the lens of Pop Art, transforming the figure of the Chinese leader into a global icon. The screenprint exemplifies Warhol's signature style of repetition, flat color fields and the blending of art and consumer culture.

Ideal for collectors and art enthusiasts, this piece reflects Warhol's commentary on the intersection of politics, fame and media.

By owning this limited edition Mao print, collectors gain a unique piece of art history that captures Warhol's perspective on power and its representation in mass media.
