In 1981, in the heart of Barcelona, Galería Cortina was founded as a family initiative driven by a passion for art. In a culturally vibrant city, the gallery quickly established itself as a meeting point for collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts looking for more than just a transaction: an aesthetic and human experience.
Throughout its early decades, the gallery built a solid foundation through demanding curatorship, with works that dialogued between modernity and the new avant-gardes. The arrival of the second generation marked a new impetus: the model evolved into a professional structure, with strong presence at international fairs and a clear focus on the secondary market of modern, contemporary, and Pop Art.
The gallery went from being a physical space to becoming a strategic platform, where art is approached as an emotional, cultural, and patrimonial asset.
